A BILL
To sponsor a Student Safety Week in conjunction with the CU Police
Dept.

BILL HISTORY
Recent surveys indicate that crime is on the increase on the grounds
of the University of Colorado. The University of Colorado Student
Union is charged with the well being of the student population.

BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

The UCSU shall sponsor a Student Safety Week in conjunction
with the University of Colorado Police Department.

SECTION 2:

The week will begin one week prior to the beginning of International
Women's Week and will contain sections involved with personel
and property safety with an emphasis on Rape Awareness.

SECTION 3:

The UCSU shall award $1,500 from Central Reserve for this purpose.

SECTION 4:

This bill takes effect on passage.
