A Bill to establish a committee to supervise the finances of the Student Organization
for Alumni Relations (SOAR)

BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

There shall be a special committee from the Executive Council to assist
SOAR with all financial actions taken by SOAR,

SECTION 2:

This supervisory committee shall be empowered to 1) review SOAR plans
with regard to financial expenditures, 2) recommend alternatives to replace
the board's plans, 3)to correct mistakes made in fiscal procedures.
This committee will refrain from imposing priorities on SOAR with respect
to the planning of activities.

SECTION 3:

This committee shall be composed of 1) the SOAR President 2) the Finance
Director 3) the Student Administrator to the Office of Alumni Relations
4) Two members of the Executive Council 5) A Finance Board representative.

SECTION 4:

The Finance Director shall act as chairperson of the committee.

SECTION 5:

This committee will act as needed until the financial matters of SOAR
are in satisfactory order as deemed by the membership of this committee.

SECTION 6:

SOAR shall recieve funds from UCSU in accordance with the allocation
procedure of the Finance Board. The second half of FY 82-83 funds will
be allocated with the consent of the committee by January 1, 1983.
Otherwise, the committee in conjunction with the Finance Board will
make a recommendation to the Executive Council.

SECTION 7:

This committee shall be established upon passage.
