BILL SUMMARY
A Bill to recommend funding for the Student Organization for Alumni
Relations, SOAR.
BE IT ENACTED by the University of Colorado Student Union Executive Council, THAT:

SECTION 1:

The Student Organization for Alumni Relations will
be funded in accordance with Finance Board budgetary
procedures.
The level of funding will be established
with Finance Board recommendation subject to Executive
Council approval with the following stipulations .

SECTION 2:

A SOAR Budget Review Committee shall be established
which will place a funding freeze on one half of
the FY 82-83 SOAR Budget until the review can be
completed.

SECTION 3:

The position of Student Administrator to the Office
of Alumni Relations will be redefined to include
serving as the primary liaison between UCSU and SOAR.
This duty shall involve: 1) Serving on the SOAR Budget
Review Committee 2) ~resenting bimonthly reports to
the Executive Council on the progress of SOAR 3) Fstablishing a working relationship and coomunication
channel between UCSU and SOAR 4) Creating an Alumni
Relations Committee to aid in the carrying out of
these duties.

SECTION 4:

The previous additions to the job description will
subject to mutual negotiation and approval of the
Office of Alumni Relations and UCSU .

SECTION 5:

This bill will become effective upon passage at the
beginning of the 82-83 budget cycle.
