BILL SUMMARY

To Amend the By-Laws.

BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

Article IV-B of the UCSU By-Laws shall be amended from:
"The Executive Council shall establish and maintain
an Appointments Committee and Rules Committee."
To:
"The Executive Council shall establish and maintain an
Appointments Committee, a Rules Committee and a
Elections Committee."

SECTION 2:

Article IV -B-3 shall read:

Elections Committee
a)
b)

SECTION 3:

The Elections Committee shall consist of five
members chosen from and elected by the Executive
Council.
The Elections Committee shall make recommendations
concerning the Election Code revisions and election
procedures to the Executive Council. It shall oversee
the actions of the Election Commissioner and
Commission and report to the Executive Council on
their actions regarding the elections and appropriate
bonuses after the election's completion.

This bill shall take effect upon passage.
