17 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL RESOLUTION 11105
UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO

A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS:

UCSU is a non-partisan student union established to protect
the interests of students; and,

WHEREAS:

Mandatory student fees are considered state funds; and,

WHEREAS:

State funds are not to be used to advance partisan
political issues.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Executive Council of the University of
Colorado Student Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

UCSU shall not spend monies on controversial issues unless
equal time is given to alternative views on the issue.

SECTION 2:

UCSU will be responsible for insuring that alternative
views shall be presented in a fair and equitable fashion
and that relevant student groups will be notified.

SECTION 3:

UCSU shall be responsible to insure that monies are spent
only on issues where there is significant student concern.
