BILL SUMMARY
To change the date for the Spring 1983 Mandatory Candidates Meeting.

BILL HISTORY
A referendum question appeared on the ballot of the Falll982 elections to
move the dates of the Spring Elections from April to March. As a provision
of this referendum, a clause was inserted into the Election Code to have the
mandatory candidates meeting two weeks before the elections instead of the
usual three because the three week date would have fallen during Spring
Break. This referendum failed, however, the Mandatory Candidates Meeting
clause was not removed.

BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

Section 2.2 of the UCSU Election Code shall be amended such
that the clause "This meeting shall be held two weeks before the
election for Spring, 1983 elections, only; after this election this
sentence shall be automatically deleted from this code" is
deleted.

SECTION 2:

This amendment shall take effect upon passage.
