BILL SUMMARY

Amends the Election Code.

BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:

SECTION 1:

The following amendments shall be made to Article IV
the UCSU Election Code:
Section 3.4
A summary of referendum questions shall be included in these
announcements, as well as the location as to where a complete
wording may be found, as each referendum becomes official •••
Section 4.7 A
All petitions of candidacy must be returned to the Election
Commissioner or Assistant Commissiner by five o'clock p.m. on
th~ day of the Mandatory Candidates meeting. Petitions will not
be accepted for candidacy past this time.
Section 4.8
••. any candidate who fails to appear for the Mandatory
Candidates meeting or who falls to send an authorized
representative chosen by the candidate and
pre-arranged with the Commissioner to said mee ting •••
Section 6.8
All requests for referenda must be presented to the UCSU
Executive Council and be presented in the form in which they
shall appear on the ballot no later than two weeks before the
election.
Section 9.1
In addition, it is requested that at least two members of the
Election Committee attend •••
