BILL SUMMARY
SOC funding and a Spring 1983 ballot question.

BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

The Executive Council shall allocate the $13,500
accumulated through interest income to soc
a stop-gap
measure so as they can maintain a reasonable level of funding
until an agreement of a future funding mechanism is reached.

SECTION 2:

The Election Commissioner shall be instructed to place
the following question on the Spring 1983 ballot:

"Shall each student be mandatorialy assessed a fee of $1.00
per student per semester for the support of student groups ranging
from community service groups, political advocacy groups,
minority student groups, to sexual preference groups. These
groups are currently funded through the Student Organizations
Committee of UCSU:
YES
SECTION 3:

NO

?"

This legislation shall take effect upon passage.
