November 11, 1982 18 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL BILL 16 UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO STUDENT UNION Sponsored By: Authored By: Representative-at-Large: UCSU Executives: Tim Pond Tad Miller Rich Ling Wendy Henniges, Student Administrator to the Chancellor A BILL BILL SUMMARY To set aside $19,400 of UCSU over-realized interest income as a donation to the campus as a gesture demonstrating our concern for the economic plight of our campus. ยท BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT: SECTION I: Recognizing the tremendous economic crunch which continually handicaps our university and its ability to provide worthwhile programs to accommodate the needs of the student body, we shall set aside $19,400 of over-realized interest income which shall be allocated for campus improvements to symbolize our dedication to the University of Colorado, Boulder. SECTION 2: This money shall be designated to support any or all of the following: a) b) c) d) Campus safety improvements including lighting and landscape changes and reproduction of pedestrian traffic flow maps to aid in preventing sexual assault and alleviate other safety problems. Books, periodicals, and other one-time purchases within priorities set by the library. Automation support for the library, including terminals, public access c~talog, and the like with items to be determined by the library. Computer terminals, personal computers or other equipment to be selected from high priority needs by the Academic Computing Center. SECTION 3: Upon Executive Council approval, all expenditures shall be the result of negotiation and mutual agreement between the UCSU Executives, the Pro-Tempore and the Chancellor SECTION 4: This bill shall become effective upon passage.
