August 4, 1983 19 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL BILL /112 UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO STUDENT UNION Sponsored By: President Pro-Tempore: Gretchen Roorbach A BILL BILL SUMMARY That the Vice-Chair of any Joint Board can not be an Executive Council Member. BILL HISTORY The Joint Board By-Laws of each UCSU Joint Board are not consistent in their policies for eligibility of Chair and Vice Chairs. All Joint Boards should be consistent. The Environmental Board, Finance, & Health Boards all state that the Chair and Vice Chair can not be a Rep Council member. The Rec, UMC & AIR Boards do not state that either the Chair or Vice Chair can not be a member of Representative Council. CEB states the Chair can not be a member of Rep Council but does not state eligibility for the Vice Chair. BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Cotmeil of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT: SECTION 1: Neither the Chair nor the Vice Chair of a Joint Board shall be a member of Executive Council. " SECTION 2: The following Boards: CEB, Rec Center, UMC, and AIR Board shall amendment their By-Laws to state that neither the Chair nor the Vice Chair shall be an Executive Council member.
