BILL HISTORY Publicity is currently an Ad Hoc committee of executive council, originally formed to study the acknowledged lack of communication between UCSU and the student body at large. The committee has met all summer and has considered various solutions to the communication problem. BE IT ENACTED BY THE Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT: SECTION 1: The first sentence of Article VI, Section B of the By-Laws shall be amended to:"The Executive Council shall establish AND maintain an Appointments Committee, a Rules Committee, an Elections Cornmittee, a Student Organizations Committee, an Appropriations Committee and· a Publicity Committee." SECTION 2: Article VI, Section B. No.6 shall read: 6) The Publicity Committee A. The committee shall be composed of five (5) members of Executive Council to be chosen by Executive Council as a whole; three (3) students at large chosen by the Appointments Committee and ratified by a majority of Executive Council, and the UCSU PR director who is chosen by the Executives and will be a voting member. B. The publicity committee's goals are to disseminate information on UCSU's various services and opportunities as they directly affect the students; to oversee the production of a reg~lar publication, and to coordinate and supplement the activities of the UCSU PR director while complementing other publicity functions of UCSU Joint Boards, committees, Executive Staff and Executive Council. SECTION 3: SECTION fl.: SECTION 5: The budget for the committee shall be submitted to Finance Board and brought to Executive Council for final approval. · By-Laws shall be required and drawn up by the committee.
