BILL SUMMARY

Places a referendum question for a constitutional
amendment on the Fall 1983 Election Ballot.
BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:

SECTION 1:

The following question shall be placed on the Fall 1983 UCSU
Ballot:
"Shall a new article be inserted into the constitution, between
articles I and II which reads as follows:
The University of Colorado Student Union shall not discriminate
in hiring, firing, promotion, appointment, use of facilities,
provision of services, funding, or membership on the basis of
religion, creed, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual
orientation, marital status, age physical handicap, or any other
personal characteristic not directly related to the situation
in question.

SECTION 2:

In the event of passage, the articles of the constituation
shall be renumbered appropriately.

SECTION 3:

This legislation takes effect upon passage.
