A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS:

The Soviet Union has committed an unforgivable crime in the
shooting down of a commercial jetliner that killed 269 innocent people.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Executive Council at the University of
Colorado Student Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

The UCSU Executive Council condemns the Soviet Union with
regard to this action and feels that they acted in total
disregard for human life.

SECTION 2:

That the President Pro-Tempore be instructed to forward
a letter to the Soviet Consulate in Washington D.C. stating
our condemnation and discontent.
