A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS:

The University administration will require a continuous deposit
from all continuing students, transfer students, and new
admissions in December 1983; and

WHEREAS:

This deposit will not apply toward tuition; and

WHEREAS:

A financial hardship may be faced by some students;

I,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Executive Council of the University of
Colorado Student Union, THAT:

Section 1:

The Student Administrator to Financial Services and the UCSU
Co-Executives are hereby directed to work with the Office of
Financial Services in an effort to implement a deferred payment
plan for the continuous deposit.

Section 2:

This deferred payment program will allow a student to make two
equal payments, and will be implemented for the Spring 1984
registration only. This deferred payment plan will allow students
who might otherwise face financial hardships an extended period
of time to meet the university's new requirement for a conintuous
deposit.

Section 3:

This legislation shall become effective upon passage by the
Executive Council.
