February 21, 1985 22 EXECUTIVE BILL //10 UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO STUDENT UNION Sponsored by: Tri-Executives: Vice Pres. Pro-Tempore: Journalism Co-Rep: Rep. Council Speaker: Rep.-at-large: Journalism: John Francis Jill Hanauer Brian Wheeler Lori Monkarsh Karen Jacobson Jon Diesenhaus Daniel Sladek Kristina Detjen Chris Bittman Karen Jacobson John Skrabec Camber Caldwell Authored by: A BILL BILL SUMMARY Defines the UCSU DIMENSION as publicity brochure. BILL HISTORY For the last two years, UCSU, through the Publicity Committee, has produced the DIMENSION. The DIMENSION is an elaborate advertisement in the form of a publicity brochure that contains non-editorial information on our student union's activities. The DIMENSION acts as an extension of the committee; to inform our constituency of our actions. It is a recruiting device that compels them to listen, think and then respond through the proper channels, whether it be a letter to the editor of a publication or open forum at Executive Council. It promotes and encourages participation in government; the primary purpose for which the committee and the DIMENSION were founded. It's form is a result of the most economical and appropriate methods of its purpose. We appreciate the concern of Finance Board with respect to the definition of a publication, according to the student fee guidelines, Section II, Part C. which the DIMENSION IS NOT. • Page 2- 22 Executive Bill/110 BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT: SECTION 1: The UCSU DIMENSION be defined as an elaborate advertisement in the form of a publicity brochure. SECTION 2: This legislation shall take effect upon passage. VE COUNCIL- ACCLAMATION- 16-0-0
