This event would greatly benefit many CU students. This lawyer who has proven
himself a socially responsible citizen in the face of nationally illegal cases
involving the U.S. government, various large corporations and many individuals
would be a welcome and needed speaker on any college campus. We are fortunate
to have this opportunity.
BILL SUMMARY
This bill shall allocate an amount not to exceed $300 plus GAR to go towards world
renowned lawyer Danny Sheehan's roundtrip airfare from California to Denver. He
will be speaking on the CU campus on Thursday, November 13. Sheehan is not
asking for an honorarium.
BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

An amount not to exceed $300 plus GAR will come from the
Central Reserve account of UCSU in order to pay for roundtrip
airfare of Danny Sheehan.

SECTION 2:

Sheehan will speak at least once in a lecture setting and will
participate in a mock trial.

SECTION 3:

This bill takes effect upon passage.
