In addition, Senor Chavez will also be showing a short film, "The Wrath of the Grapes," which was recently produced by the UFW, which was the first union fighting for the rights of farm workers and consumer protection. Senor Chavez rarely does speaking tours outside of California, which makes this event truly exceptional. The event has been tentatively scheduled as follows--(Dec. 11, 1986): 4:00 - 5:00 pm Classroom discussion (on campus) 5:30 - 7:00 pm Presentation (on campus) BILL SUMMARY Allocates an amount not to exceed $2,092 for an honorarium for the President of the United Farm Workers, Cesar Chavez, for a speaking engagement here at CUBoulder-J·· BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council Union, THAT: ~f the University of Colorado Student SECTION 1: The Executive Council allocate $2,092 (includes GAR of 4.6%) for honorarium for UFW President, Cesar Chavez. SECTION 2: This amount will come from Central Reserve. SECTION 3: The sponsors will go to Local Schools for additional funding, to be reimbursed to Central Reserve.
