BILL HISTORY
In light of recent events dealing with the Iran-Contra arms deal and controversy,
Political Science Professor Edward Rozek has invited Ahmad Ghoreishi to CU to
address this very issue. Ghoreishi is the former Chancellor of the National
University of Iran, and in 1979 was appointed as the Iranian Ambassador to the
United States, but was unable to assume office because of the overthrow of the
Shah of Iran. Currently Mr. Ghoreishi serves on the Board of Directors of several
major European corporations, and is a frequent lecturer at many Middle Eastern
and European Universities.
His discussion, which includes a question and answer segment, will be on Thursday,
February 12 at 7:00 pm in Duane Physics G030.

BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

An amount not to exceed $286.39 be allocated from Central
Reserve to fund ads for Mr. Ghoreishi's talk.

SECTION 2:

This Bill takes effect upon passage.
