A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS:

The University Memorial Center was built for and dedicated to the
Veterans of the United States Armed Forces; and,

WHEREAS:

These people, known as Veterans, risked and gave their lives not
only in war but in peacetime also, ln order to protect our freedom;
and,

WHEREAS:

Their bravery and devotion have been a pillar in the foundations of
the United States of America; and,

WHEREAS:

This bravery and devotion should be and will be honored with the
deepest gratitude and the greatest pride,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Executive Council of the University of
Colorado Student Union, THAT:

SECTION 1:

UCSU will recognize and honor our Veterans on every November
11, in an official capacity, hereafter.

SECTION 2:

The flag of the United States of America will be placed outside the
UCSU office in honor of November 11, Veterans Day.

SECTION 3:

This Resolution takes effect upon passage.
