Burpee Perry Dino Pete Yob Susie Fricklas Eddie Pacheco April Long A BILL BILL HISTORY A.P.A.C.(Asian Pacific American Coalition) is organizing a film festival to be presented Nov. 6 - 8. Last year A.P.A.C. worked with CU OP in co-sponsoring this event. Due to a limited budget CU OP cannot co-sponsor the event this year. A.P.A.C. student leaders have decided not to abandon this project and would like · UCSU to support them this year. The festival will include 18 films which are all produced by Asian American filmmakers. The films will contain documentaries, narratives and experimental films. The two most important benefits of this festival are that the films will offer the unique perspective of the Asian American and this event will be open free-of- · charge to the entire campus community. The diversity of ideas and perspectives is what makes the college experience so vital in the development of the human race. BILL SUMMARY This bill allocates an amount not to exceed $860 plus GAR to fund the Asian American International Film Festival. The funding will go toward film base fee, projector rental, programs, and advertising. BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student Union THAT: SECTION 1: An amount not to exceed $860 plus GAR from Central Reserve go toward the funding of the Asian American International Film Festival. SECTION 2: This money shall be allocated as follows: Daily and Press, ~ pg. ads Projection rental Film base fee Postage + delivery Programs $320 50 300 90 ~ 27 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL BILL 1/34 -Page 2 ( SECTION 3: In accordance with 27 ECB 115 a written report will be turned in to the Executive Council President Pro-Tempore and kept on file for access. The report shall include the following: 1) General overview of the events and the phases of that event, 2) attendance of all phases of the event, 3) did the group sponsoring the event feel they accomplished their goals set forth prior to the event, 4) a detailed account of expenditures. This report shall be submitted within 30 days of the end of the event. Failure to do so may jeopardize future fuhding from UCSU Executive Council.
