Largesse Law Representatives Rep r e sen ta ti ve s-at-Large Authored by: A BILL BILL HISTORY The National Women and the Law Day Conference provides three days of training and oicussion on topics that impact the legal rights of women throughout the nation. Practicing attorneys, judges, and law school professors and administrators and law students address legal isssues that effect all women. The 19th Annual Conference will be held in March of 1988 in Austin, Texas. The Women's Law Caucus of the C.U. School of Law has recognized the importance of this educational opportunity and has managed in past years, to partially subsidize the attendance of up to ten members ~t the annual conference. This year the support of U.C.S. U ., as well as other cam pus-based funding sources, is being sought to enable at least 15 WLC member to attend. The goal is to disseminate the information obtained to as many students as possible through campus-wide lectures during 1988. BILL SUMMARY To allocate $7 50.00 from Executive Council Reserve to assist with travel expenses for attendance of fifteen members of the C.U. Women's Law Caucus at the 19th National Women and the Law Conference in Austin, Texas in March 1988. BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT: SECTION 1: An amount not to exceed $450.00 plus GAR _from Central Reserve to the C.U. Women's Law Caucus for member travel expenses to the National Women and Law Day Conference in Austin, Texas. ยท SECTION 2: A written report will be submitted pursuant to 24ECB4.
