The Na tiona! Leadership Seminar (NLS) is an annual event that AIESEC-U.S. holds for the purpose of training, motivating and educating local committee members. The entire na tiona! staff hosts a delegation of 135 students which is comprised of two representatives from each local committee (generally members who have leadership potential and or have a desire to serve AIESEC on a regional or na tiona! level) as well as interna tiona! delegates. BILL SUMMARY The event this year will take place in Pawling, New York, August 18-23. The delegate fee will be approximately $250 per person (not including airfare). This event is unique in that it is the only event that assembles the leaders of AIESEC-U.S. membership for an intensive 6 days: 6 days that have the potential of making a lasting impact on the dedication and involvement of those people who attend. For AIESEC-Colorado NLS is an instrumental program that allows us to maintain our na tiona! reputation as well as to exhibit the type of students that are enrolled in the College of Business at the University of Colorado. BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT: SECTION 1: We are reques~ing the amount needed to cover the Air Fare· $250 plus the 4.6% GAR ($11.50) coming to a total of $26.1.50. SECTION 2: All student groups who receive special event funding shall submit a written report to be turned in to the Pro-Tempore and kept on file for access. The report shall include the following: 1) General overview of · the events and the phases of that event, 2) attendance of all phases of the event, 3) did the group sponsoring the event feel they accomplished their goals set forth prior to the event, 4) a detailed account of expenditures. This report shall be submitted within 30 days of the end of the event. Failure to do so may jeopardize future funding from UCSU Executive Council.
