BILL HISTORY

Radicals for Capitalism is a non-political organization dedicated solely to the study
and advocacy of certain ideas. We are interested in bringing Andre Marrou to
speak on cam pus.

Andre Marrou was elected to the State House of Representatives as a Libertarian
in Alaska for 1985-87 term. He is presently the vice-presidential candidate for the
Libertarian Party. Mr. Marrou will speak on Libertarianism in American politics,
and third party alternatives in America.
We do not support, nor are we connected in any way with the Libertarian Party.
We are interested in bringing Mr. Marrou to campus because he represents certain
ideals which are all too infrequently expressed today, and his appearance would
bring these ideas to the attention of the University community and also facilitate
discussions on the subject.
The event will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 5:00 -7:00p.m. in Duane
Physics G-030.
We are · asking for the advertising expenses only, since Mr. Marrou will speak
without an honorarium.
BILL SUMMARY

This bill allocates $198.38 + $8.89 GAR to Radicals for Capitalism for
advertisement of the speaker, Andre Marrou.
BE IT ENACTED by the Executive Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:

SECTION 1:

An amount not to exceed $198.38 + $8.89 GAR shall be
allocated from Central Reserve to Radicals for Capitalism for
advertisement of the speaker, Andre Marrou.

SECTION 2:

A written report will be submitted pursuant to 24 ECB 1/4.

SECTION 3:

This bill will take effect upon passage.
