BILL SUMMARY
A referendum question to constitutionally change Local Schools Council name to
Council of Schools and Colleges.
BE IT ENACTED by the Executive CounciloTtheUniversifyo-f Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

The following question shall be inserted on the fall 1988
ballot as a constitutional change of UCSU:
"Shall the UCSU Constitution be amended to change the name
of a legislative body, known currently as Local Schools Council
to the name of Council of Schools and Colleges.
Yes

No"

SECTION 2:

The UCSU Election Commissioner shall place the above
referendum on the fall 1988 ballot.

SECTION 3:

Upon passage, all use of "Local Schools Council" in the UCSU
Constitution shall be deleted and "Council of Schools and
Colleges" inserted in its place.

SECTION 4:

As a renamed body, all subsequent references to "Local
Schools Council" in all areas of UCSU shall be changed to
"Council of Schools and Colleges."

SECTION 5:

This bill takes effect upon passage.
