29 EXECUTIVE COUNCIL BILL //32 October 13, 1988 UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO STUDENT UNION Sponsored by: Tri-Executives i~epresenta ti ves-a t-Large Authored by: S/ A to Greeks/ Alumni A BILL Tim Kauffman Chris Drummond Rob Schmidt Rob Corry Jennifer Needham BILL HISTORY The University of Colorado Homecoming (week of Oct. 24-29) is an event that provides an opportunity for all students. to take pride in an institution to which they belong. UCSU has shown its support for Homecoming in the past through partial funding of the event. Last year, UCS U contributed a total of $2589.15 specifically allocated towards the Homecoming dance. Although this event went smoothly and was well organized, the event was not s-uccessful due to lack of attendence. It was recommended that UCSU discontinue the event in the future and direct their effort and funding towards an alternative activity. In order to encourage student participation the event has been changed to an FAC/Bonfire to take place on Friday, Oct 28th. The FAC will be on the UMC Terrace and wllllnclude two bands, homecoming decorations and bar-b-que. The food will be sold separately by food service and therefore does not Interfere with Student Fee Guidelines. The bonfire will follow at 8:00pm by the Events Center and will include a pep rally for the CU football team. This event is in conjunction with Program Council, Greek Council, SOAR, and the Athletic Department.
