30 LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL BILL Ill November 3, 1988 UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO STUDENT UNION. Sponsored by: Representatives-at-Large Tri-Executive Authored by: Executive ·o f A.P .A.C. A BILL Dawn Massop Tammy Kang Felicia Clark Tim Kauffman Ying Chang BILL HISTORY The 1988 3rd annual Asian American International Film Festival, sponsored by the Asian Pacific American Coalition, will take place Nov. 17, 18, and 19th. The films of our festival depict the Asian-American experience; this ranges from the experiences of Asians recently arrived in America, to American-born Asians discovering the extent of their heritage. A schedule of films being shown is attached. The film festival will culminate with a reception on Saturday evening, the 19th. The film festival will further educate its viewers as to some of the issues faced by the Asian-American people. In the minds of some, the differences between the various Asian groups may still be unclear. UCSU would be helping to improve cultural awareness on campus with their support of this project. Those who take the opportunity to see this year's films will come away knowing that both similarities, as well as differences, exist in the problems faced by Asian Americans.
