BILL HISTORY
The Executive Committee on Research and Teaching is a Task force made up of
members of Legislative Council, Executive staff persons and the Tri-Executives.
As a means of gauging opinions of faculty and students on the overall quality of the
educa tlon at C U Boulder, ECRA T has begun planning for a survey of the
aforementioned to dete:-mlne if there is indeed a problem and (if so) to conjure up
some positive solutions to submit to the administration and departments. This will
require the serv lees of The Office of Research and Testing to generate random
lists of students and faculty. Although, surely, the adminlstra tion should provide
funding for what is certainly going to require a larger cooper a tlon between UCS U
and the administration, the allocating of startup costs to provide impetus for the
survey is reasonabe.
BILL SUMMARY
This bill allocates an amount .!l2! to exceed $500.00 + GAR to provide startup
funding for the Executive Committee on Research and Teaching.
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

An amount not to exceed $500.00 + GAR shall be allocated
to fund costs of The Office of Research and Testing in the
generating of random lists and the gathering of other data.

SECTION 2:

ECRA T will report biweekly on the progress of the survey.
