BILL HISTORY
This is a proposal requesting funds concerning National Conference for the student
group AIESEC-Colorado. The National Conference is an annual event held by
AIESEC-U.S. concentrating on legislation and the determination of objectives for
the present year. In addition, it provides training, motivation and education for
local committee members. The conference further provides a highly effective
means for the transfer of information between local chapters. The event is
attended by representatives of each of the nations 65 chapters, as well as a large
number of interna tio~al delegates.
BILL SUMMARY
The event will take place in Austin, Texas, December 27- January 3. The delegate
fee is $240 per person (not including airfare). The continuation of AIESEC as a
successful and dynamic organization requires that all local chapters send delegates
to National Conference. This event offers the members of AIESEC an unparalleled
opportunity in that it is the sole occasion, in which representatives from each
chapter congregate for an intensive, educational, and inspirational seven days.
National Conference has the promise of promoting the dedication and involvement
of both the attendees and the fellow members of AIESEC, as well as providing local
chapters with valuable information and ideas. By taking part in National
Conference, AIESEC-Colorado will be able to advance its own national reputation,
as well as that of the University of Colora·do.
BE ,IT ENACTED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:

SECTION 1:

The amount needed to cover 2 R/T Airfares totaling $496 plus
4.48% GAR ($22.22).
The amount needed to cover 2 delegate fee payments totaling
$220 plus 4.48% GAR (9.86).

SECTION 2:

A written report shall be submitted pursuant to 24 ECB 1/4.

SECTION 3:

This bill takes effect upon passage.
