BIJ.,L HISTORY
Holocaust Awareness Week is a five-day program of speakers, films, workshops,
panel discussions and multi-media events. The intent of the c;.onference is to
examine how and why the Holocaust happened and how we all can work to prevent
it from happening again.
1989 will mark the fifth year of Holocaust Awareness Week. Programs have always
been well-planned and attended (last year's attendance was over 2,000). The
enthusiasm with which past events have been received assures the success of this
year's ·c onference.
BILL SUMMARY

This bill shall allqca te from Central Reserve an amount not to exceed $2,783.10
plus GAR towards the funding of Holocaust Awareness Week.
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT: .
SECTION 1:

An amount not to exceed $2,783.10 plus GAR shall be
allocated from Central Reserve to fund Holocaust
Awareness Week.

SECTION 2:

A report shall be submitted pursuant to 24- ECB 114-.

SECTION 3:

This bill shall take effect upon passage.
