BILL HISTORY
UCSU has had a number of non-fee-paying students serve as UCSU representatives
and officials throughout its history. In order to fairly represent students, bipartisan mechanism is needed to ensure the student-status of all 3 branch
members.
BILL SUMMARY
This bill simply adds the responsibility of verifying the student-status of all
student representatives and officials in the 3 branches of UCSU to the Election
Com missioner.
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union THAT:

SECTION 1:

The following responsibility be added as a line item to the
Election Com missioner's job description:
"A list of all current representatives/officials from the 3
branches of UCSU shall be submitted to the CU Records
Office by the Elections Commissioner immediately following
each student election. Subsequently, any non-fee-paying
student serving as an UCSU representative/official shall
be immediately brought to the attention of Legislative
Council for further action." Waived fees are considered
paid fees.

SECTION 2:

This legislation takes effect upon passage & shall be
implemented during the next upcoming election.
