f: 30 LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL BILL 1/40 March 9, 1989 UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO STUDENT UNION Sponsored by: Engineering Representatives Jeff Miller Mike Drews Authored by: Chairman, SME Jeff Durand A BILL BILL HISTORY The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) wishes to send two engineering students to the Westec '89 Conference and Exposition. The conference is being held in Los Angeles, California from March 20-23, 1989. Students will attend the conference for two of the four days. Our society will pay $280 for conference seminar admission fees. Seminar admission fees are $35 per person per seminar, and each student will attend four seminars. Students will be responsible for any miscellaneous expenses. We were relying heavily on monies earned from E-days 1988, to pay for seminsar admission to the Westec Conference. Expenses for our E-days 1988 event totaled $100, and we had anticipated profits of $250. However, no monies were earned · since the event had to be cancelled due to rain. Current fund raising efforts have netted $20 toward attending the conference. Any monetary contributions from UCSU would be greatly appreciated.
