BILL HISTORY
This is a proposal for funds concerning a special guest speaker for CU-ACE
(Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs). John Bryant, a successful black
entrepreneur, was contacted at the ACE convention in February by C U-ACE
member Craig Johnson. John, Vice President of a private mortgage investment
company and paid professional speaker, agreed to waive usual speaking fees to
address students at CU.
John has committed to address a group of CU students on Thursday April 20, 1989.
This meeting will be open to all CU students (and anyone else interested) free of
charge.
To allow John to speak at CU on a no-fee basis, his travel and related expenses
must be reimbursed.
BILL SUMMARY
This bill is to request allocation of $804.60 for travel and advertising for John

Bryant, special CU-ACE quest speaker.
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

An amount not to exceed $804.60 + GAR will be allocated
from Central Reserve to fund travel and advertising for John
Bryant to speak at CU on April 20, 1989.

SECTION 2:

A written report will be submitted pursuant to 24 ECB 1/4.

SECTION 3:

This bill will take effect upon passage.
