A RESOLUTION

Jim Mahoney

WHEREAS:

Media, such as flyers and other announcements for events,
programs, etc. are often presented in a manner which is
offensive in nature toward minority and other groups; and,

WHEREAS:

UCSU often funds the events, programs, etc. for which such
announcements are utilized; and,

WHEREAS:

UCSU will therefore be associated with such announcements;
and,

WHEREAS:

Legislative council, CCS and other UCSU bodies do not
condone these kind of offensive announcements.
THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

One executive position of any ~nd all student groups and
student relate9 organiza,tions should be held individually
responsible for approving all announcements.

SECTION 2:

That the said executive shall be held responsible by UCSU
for approving all announcements.

SECTION 3:

The responsible party shall be:
A. the Director in the case of cost centers as stated
in the By-Laws
B. the signer for the group at SOFO

SECTION 4:

This resolution takes effect upon passage.
