March 2, 1989 30 LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RESOLUTION //104 UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO STUDENT UNION Sponsored by: Authored by: Representatives-at-Large President Pro-Tempore Julie O'Brian Felicia Clark David Hummels Representative-a t-Lare Julie O'Brian A RESOLUTION WHEREAS: It is neccessary that the process of government on any level that effects the Student Union per se or students as a particular constituency be monitored in a consistent fashion, and that actions leading to efficacious student advocacy be be initiated; and, WHEREAS: The postion of Legislative Affairs Lobbyist has been eliminated for the academic year 88-89. THEREFORI;., BE IT RESOLVED by the Legilslative Council of the University of Colorado-Student Union, THAT: SECTION 1: It is necessary that the UCSU executive devote staff time and other necessary resources to: - research issues concerning the UCSU that may involve any governing bodies of UCSU, - serve as a liaison to the Colorado General Assembly, -keep students informed on policy changes and legislation on the Federal, State, and Local levels that may affect them as students or their education. SECTION 2: Efforts to the above shall be detailed in a written report, to be made part of Legislative Council minutes periodically, the interim between such reports not to exceed one calendar month.
