A RESOLUTION
The following Resolution represents the postition of all members of UCSU.
WHEREAS:

On October 12, 1989 Thomas Cech of the University of
Colorado was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry; and,

WHEREAS:

This accomplishment brings honor and recognition to the

entire University; and,
WHEREAS:

Thomas Cech and those who contributed to his success deserve
to be recognized for their accomplishments. THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student
Union, THAT:
SECTION 1:

The UCSU congratulates Thomas Cech, and those colleagues,
other professors, graduate students, undergraduate students,
assistants and all others who aided in his research for earning
the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

SECTION 2:

A copy of this resolution will be sent to Thomas Cech.

SECTION 3:

This resolution takes effect upon passage.
