A BILL
'BILL HISTORY
With Wardenburg now offering free AIDS testing and continuing to
expand its educational base, distribution of free condoms to the
university community is an integral element in preventing the
spread of AIDS.
Currently 2 in 500 university students are infected with HIV.
Within the next few years it is estimated that AIDS will be the
number one killer of people in the United States between the ages
of 25-44. Right now, one person is infected every 30 seconds . and
one person dies of an AIDS related illness every 12 minutes world
wide.
As sttidents and representative~ of the students we can no longer
sit back and allow AIDS to continue to spread because of ignorance,
fear and lack of preventative measures.
Please let us all do our ·
part to stop the spread of AIDS NOW!
BILL SUMMARY
This bill allocates $1,100.00 +GAR for the purchase of Condoms to
be distributed free of charge at the Wardenburg Testing sight and
at Peer Education Seminars.
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative council of the University of
Colorado Student Union, THAT:
SECTION 1.

This bill allocates $1,100.00 +GAR for the purchase
of 11,000 condoms.
