As a long-range planning effort, we are asking for student's support through mandatory student fees to provide financial stability for a nationally recognized event. This approval will show commitment to the University's stated goals of cultural, sexual, political and ethnic diversity. International Women's Week provides excellent opportunities for the exchange of academic resources. This event promotes: education and leadership opportunities for women; interaction between faculty, staff and students and the surrounding communities; and the acknowledgement of women's achievements. International Women;s Week, with its seventeen year history, has proven to be a major asset to this campus and now requires student's support in order to continue this prosperity to the community.
