BILL HISTORY
The National Education Conference is sponsored by the National
Fraternity of Delta Nu Alpha (from here on referred to as DNA)
and the American Society of Transportation and Logistics. Members
of CU's Chapter of DNA are working hard to satisfy the means of
attending this conference. The conference consists of seminars,
speeches, and workshops intended to educate the students on current
issues within the transportation industry.
This experience not
only enables DNA members to enter the business community with
· increased awareness of current issues and professional contacts,
but gives national exposure to the University of Colorado.
In
fact, in two of the last three years, CU students have won the
coveted National student Of The Year, which is presented at the
conference. Numerous scholarships have been given to outstanding
DNA members in the last three years as well. Quite obviously, the
CU Chapter of DNA is a fantastic student program with national
attention.
BILL SUMMARY
This bill allocates an amount not to exceed $750 plus GAR to help _
send 7 Delta Nu Alpha representatives to a National Conference in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from September 12th through 15th, 1990.
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative council of the University of
Colorado Student Union, THAT:

SECTION 1:

An amount not to exceed $750 + GAR will be allocated
from Central Reserve for two round trip tickets from
Denver to Philadelphia, Pennsylavania for the
National Education Conference.

SECTION.2:

A written report will be submitted pursuant to
24 ECB #4.

SECTION 3:

This bill takes effect upon passage.
