Club Tango is a student group open to all students. Club Tango wishes to run a Referendum on the Fall 2003 ballot in order to obtain student fee funds to operate their club. With this referendum, Club Tango aims at bringing multiple forms of social dancing to the CU campus life. Along with argentine Tango, which is a mainstay of any dance community, Club Tango offers workshops in other dances, such as salsa and swing, culminating in a ball (dance party) that is open to the public.
Bill Summary
This bill places the Club Tango Referenda question on the Fall 2003 UCSU ballot.
THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT,
SECTION 1: The following Referendum Question shall be added to the UCSU Fall 2003 ballot:
“Purpose:
With this referendum, Club Tango aims at bringing multiple forms of social
dancing to the Cu campus life. Along with argentine Tango, which is a mainstay
of any dance community, Club Tango offers workshops in other dances, such as
salsa and swing, culminating in a ball (dance party) that is open to the public.
Do you
support the university social dance club, Club Tango, in offering multiple free
social dances, as well as dance lessons, to students and alumni at a rate of
$1.08 per
semester, per student, in student fees for the next four years?
YES ( ) NO
( )”
SECTION 2: The election commissioner will ensure the questions proper attachment to the Fall 2003 UCSU ballot
SECTION 3: This bill takes effect upon passage by the Legislative Council.
