Bill
History
In recent years, during the budget process, the UCSU Legislative Council has required that the Women's Resource Center generate revenue as a part of their budget. The Women's Resource Center is a unique cost center that provides many services, however, it should not be required to generate revenue as this detracts from the mission of the WRC and makes it less productive. Because of this, the WRC has had to save the amount of mandated self-generated revenue and apply it to their budget each year. This basically is a cut in their budget for the past few years and is counterproductive to a functioning small cost center. Most of the other small cost centers under UCSU's jurisdiction are not required to generate revenue.
