As outlined by the Election Code it is the responsibility of election commissioner or in absence of one the election commission to make amendments to the Election code. Being so, the Election Commission has reviewed and agreed upon the following. We feel that the following amendments will help to ensure that the election process will run in a calm, efficient and fair manner.

Bill Summary

This bill seeks that the proposed amendments to the Election code will be approved and put in action upon passage to ensure that the UCSU election process runs in an efficient manner not only for the 2004 UCSU elections but also for future UCSU elections.

THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED, by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT:

Section 1: The following amendments were authored and agreed upon by members of the 2003-20904 Election Commission.

Section 2: The following proposed amendments were developed in order to ensure that the 2004 and future UCSU elections run efficiently and with the least amount of confusion as possible.

Section 3: This bill takes effect upon passage by Legislative Council and upon obtaining the signature of the Council President and the Tri-executives.
