The Coalition for Creative Music is a student group that is requesting continuing funding for their organization. They are dedicated to bringing music to the area that would otherwise not come here.


Bill Summary

 

This bill places the Coalition for Creative Music question on the Spring 2004 UCSU ballot.


THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student Union, THAT,

 

SECTION 1:  The following Referendum Question shall be added to the UCSU Spring 2004 ballot:

Purpose Statement:   The purpose of the Coalition for Creative Music is to present new and
interesting music that would not otherwise be heard in the Boulder-Denver
community and beyond. We are dedicated to the advancement of the musical arts.
To this end we promote the performance and composition of new jazz, classical,
world, and avant-garde music.

 

Question: Would you approve of continuing the fee of $0.50 per student, per semester,
for the Coalition for Creative Music to provide free concerts to students for
four years?

 

SECTION 2:  The election commissioner will ensure the questions proper attachment to the Spring 2004 UCSU ballot

 

SECTION 3:  This bill takes effect upon passage by the Legislative Council.
