Students (UGGS) represents the graduate and professional students at the

This
bill places the UGGS referendum renewal question on the ballot for the Spring
2006 UCSU elections to be voted on only by graduate and professional students. ________________________________________________________________________
THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED, by the Legislative Council of the
Section 1: The Spring 2006 UCSU ballot shall include the following question:
Purpose: The United
Government of Graduate Students (UGGS) is the voice of the graduate and
professional students at the
Budget: Funds will be used to support graduate student advocacy, networking and lobbying activities, graduate student groups, social events, conferences, an office coordinator, operational supplies, training and other expenditures pertaining to group activities.
Shall the United Government of Graduate Students (UGGS) continue to be funded at the current fee of $4.50 per graduate and professional student, per semester, for four years, commencing with the first day of the Fall semester 2006?

Section 2: The UCSU election commissioner shall ensure the proper attachment of the referendum question to the Spring 2006 UCSU ballot to be voted on only by graduate and professional students
Section 3: This bill shall be adopted by the UCSU Legislative Council in accordance with the procedures for placing referenda on UCSU Election ballots
Section 4: This bill takes effect upon passage as emergency procedure.
