These amendments serve as the recommendations of the Election Committee of the Legislative Council for the Election Code covering the Fall 2007 election. They primarily focus on establishing a stable timeline to help in running the elections efficiently.

Bill Summary

This bill adopts the recommendations of the Election Committee. It also amends those recommendations with regards to eligibility requirements.

THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Council of the University of Colorado Student Union THAT:

SECTION 1:  The amended Election Code that follows shall be adopted as amended in section 2.

SECTION 2: Section 301 of the Election Code shall be replaced as follows:

ELIGIBILITY

ANY UCSU BASE FEE PAYING MEMBER OF THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO STUDENT UNION SHALL BE ENTITLED TO VOTE.

SECTION 3: This amendment takes effect upon passage by majority of the Legislative Council and being signed by the President of Legislative Council and the Tri-executives.
