Bill History

The position of Second Vice President has been a tradition of Legislative Council for as long as anyone can remember. In recent years, the position of Second Vice President has been utilized less and less, leading the author of the bill to believe that it is a position we can do without.

Bill Summary

Whereas: The position of Legislative Council Second Vice President has not been utilized in the memory of exisiting leaders.

Whereas: It is not fiscally responsible of UCSU to maintain positions that have little or no purpose.

THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED:

Section 1: The attached changes to the Legislative Council Bylaws will be adopted, with strikethrough items deleted and bolded items added.

Section 2: This bill shall take effect upon passage by the Legislative Council and upon either obtaining the signatures of two Tri-Executives or the elapse of six days without action by the Tri-Executives.
