Health Board Appointment Resolution

Originally submitted as a bill to mandate
positions for Student Gold insurance users, this resolution is the product of
Appointments Committee recommendation, resolving that Legislative Council
should command Appointments Committee to actively consider insurance status
when evaluating student applicants to Legislative Council appointed Health
Board seats.
Resolution Summary
Whereas, approximately a fifth of
students are on the Student Gold insurance through Wardenberg; and
Whereas, students on Student Gold
contribute a majority of the Wardenberg budget; and
Whereas, the Wardenberg Health Board is their representation on insurance issues; and
Whereas, the Appointments Committee
recommends the following resolution;
THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED by the Legislative Council of the
SECTION 1: Legislative Council,
through appointment and ratification powers, does hereby instruct its
Appointment Committee to consider insurance status of all student applicants to
the Legislative Council appointed seats to the Wardenberg Health Board, in
order to better offer perspective on student insurance conditions upon the
board.
SECTION 2: This resolution takes
effect upon passage.
