Sharza

Resolution History

Before replacing Rasheed Lawal as a representative-at-large, John Sharza was employed at the beginning of the fall semester as an events security guard for the University Memorial Center. The position is NOT the building shift and therefore only requires a minimum of working at least one event per month.

Resolution Summary

This bill will allow John Sharza to remain a representative-at-large and continue working for the events security staff for the UMC. It is important to note that the position with the UMC is not a building shift position where hourly shifts are required. Therefore, this bill will meet the requirement within the constitution of the University of Colorado Student Union in Article 1, Section D in that no major position within the UCSU is held.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: This resolution does not amend any amendments of the UCSU constitution and is a decision of the council as a whole.

Section 2: Once ratified, John Sharza will be allowed to continue working for the events security staff of the UMC as well as continue to be a representative-at large.

Section 3: This bill takes effect upon passage.
